1/11/07 - "U-Melt: Into The New Year"
DVD Now Available!

Merch Booth at upcoming shows or by e-mailing ali@umelt.com.
1/11/07 - Jammin' Until The Break Of Dawn
"The relentless months of touring have honed U-Melt's
skills to near-razor-sharp precision. Salzer's growingly lethal
guitar solos and Lasher's luxurious keyboard rolls rightfully
garner glowing raves but U-Melt's rhythm section truly makes
their achievements possible. The pace of George Miller's drumming
reveals an impressive stamina and the subtlety of Adam Bendy's
skills on bass can sometimes be criminally overlooked. That
U-Melt had the crowd still dancing at 6:30 in the morning
is the best testament that can be offered to Bendy and Miller.
For those who forgot to make resolutions this past New Year's,
allow me to help: make this the year you become a U-Melt fan.
The existential part of your soul that thrives on excellent
music will be eternally thankful.

Eve performance at Earvolution.com.

12/6/06 Jambase.com's
Take on "The I's Mind"
"This question comes up frequently: can an improvisational
rock band known for powerful performances capture the magic
of a live show on a studio CD? Plenty of excellent live performers
do a great job producing quality listening experiences in
the studio. The best studio recordings come from artists that
embrace the technology, time, and atmosphere a studio can
provide yet avoid the dry, sterile sound that is the downfall
of too many studio recordings.
With "The I's Mind", U-Melt's second studio release,
the band captures the essence of their exuberant live performances
brilliantly (gyrating and sweaty bodies not included) in the
pristine quality of the studio setting." To read the

11/20/06 Jambands.com Reviews "The I's
Mind"
"Quite possibly the best thing a band can do for itself,
and its potential fans, is to make albums representative of
its live routines. On U-Melt’s latest, they come in
jamming and it’s hard not to get up and dance a jig;
if only we were all in a field somewhere. While a studio setting
lends itself to some amazing and exceptionally creative musical
experimentation and expression, there’s nothing worse
than getting to a show and realizing that the band you thought
you were going to hear doesn’t actually exist on stage.
With New York City's U-Melt, what you hear on CD is what you’re
going to get at the show." To read the rest of Jeremy
Sanchez's review of "The I's Mind" on Jambands.com,

10/18/06 - U-Melt Ringtones Are Now Available!
U-Melt ringtones are now available for every cell phone carrier
except Verizon. Sorry Verizon folks, but it seems that they
don't offer most/any "outside" ringtone programs.
The U-Melt ringtone program is very cool in that it not only
offers a pre-selected 30 second clip of a song, it also offers
you the ability to choose any 30 second clip of the song you
want to be your ringtone. For starters, we made available
every song off of The I's Mind and a few choice selections
of The Unbelievable Meltdown but we plan on expanding the
library soon with some additional live songs which have not
yet been put on an album.. To check out the new U-Melt ringtones,

8/8/06 - Jammed Online
Thanks to our new friends at Jammed
Online Music Magazine for their review of The U-Melt Rocks
Off boat cruise which took place last month. Excerpted from
the article:
"These guys can really play and, perhaps more importantly,
they can really play as a unit. True group jamming remains
a relative rarity, but U-Melt displayed a very impressive
mastery of the form, as different players took turns leading
the band through the electrifying jams, changing time signatures
seemingly at will."
and:
"Their music has grown from the psuedo-Phish noodling
of the early days to encompass a huge range of styles and
genres squeezed together to create a pretty individual whole.
The techno elements – which I usually don’t care
too much for – are blended with a jazz sensibility (during
one jam, with the rest of the band in full on techno mode,
the drummer wouldn’t have been out of place playing
in a late 50s bebop band) and even touches of 70s prog (there
was one jam during the 2nd set that reminded me of late 70s
Genesis)."

jammedonline.com to read the whole thing. And there's
lots of other good reading there as well.

Vibes Festival. U-Melt has been offered an opportunity to
play an over night set at the 3rd Annual NuGroove Festival
in Van Etten, NY over the same weekend as Camp Creek, July
28-30.
Due to the close relationship between U-Melt, Terrapin, ILCC,
and Max Creek, and after a great deal of discussion, U-Melt
and Terrapin have jointly decided that it could be detrimental
to Camp Creek and Terrapin's relationship with ILCC, and thought
it best if U-Melt did not perform at the Vibes this year.
At the 3rd Annual NuGroove Festival, which will be held in
Van Etten, NY, U-Melt will be performing a very special late-night
set from 2:15am-dawn on Saturday, July 29th (technically,
7/30). Other acts scheduled to appear at NuGroove include
